ALL AGES GIG in Daghdha Church Limerick

Limerick Teenagers with an interest in Hip Hop have a real treat in store this July!

As part of the MAKE A MOVE festival which celebrates all things Hip Hop, a really unusual ALL AGES GIG will take place in the Daghdha Church, Johns Square on Friday July 6th.  This joint venture between MAKE A MOVE, the Limerick Learning Hub and Limerick Youth Service presents a supervised, alcohol free zone where young Hip Hop followers can savour the best of global and local artists including;

VOICE,  from New Orleans – described as having “one of the finest and unique flows in the hiphop/spoken word scene.” (

VOICE will be joined in the TACKIE JAM  by  DJ P.U.D.G.E. from L.A., STEVIE G presenter of award winning hip hop show Black on Red on RED FM, Cork.  Also on the bill are MYC and Hub 2nd line band from  Limerick Learning HUB’s  Band Incubation Project.

TACKIE JAMMERS can also look forward to Dance demos by members of Limerockers, Cru spearheaded by Bazzy B and festival guests, Tommy Guns and Poppin John – from New York and Texas respectively.  There is also a rumour of a Hip Hop fashion show – to be confirmed soon.

Because the venue for the TACKIE JAM is the pristine Daghdha Church, Jammers MUST come in soft shoes, tackies preferably – absolutely no stilettos allowed.

The Tackie Jam runs from 8pm until 11.30pm on Friday July 6th.  Doors 7.30pm
