More information on Denise:

Denise Chaila is a Zambian-Irish rapper, singer and poet hailing from Chikankata (Zambia) and based in Limerick, Ireland. Her music blends spoken word and rap to give voice to the sound of a transatlantic odyssey from the heart and mind of a diasporan dreamer. She uses her hyphenated identities to weave a narrative exploring identity, belonging and home. Blending cultures and genres to “make space for what doesn’t yet ‘make sense’”. Her music marries art with a passion for social justice to build space to acknowledge often forgotten narratives in powerful and dynamic ways.
